I Just Canceled Kajabi After Years… Am I Crazy? 🤯

Hey there!

After years of using Kajabi to host my courses, I finally did it—I canceled my account.

Yikes.

Am I crazy? Maybe. But here’s why this was the right move for me (and why it might be for you, too).

The Big Shift: Moving to GoHighLevel

For a long time, Kajabi was my go-to for course delivery. It’s polished, simple to use, and it gets the job done. But as my business evolved, I realized I was juggling too many platforms—Kajabi for courses, ConvertKit for email, WordPress, two hosting platforms (performance hosting and cheap hosting), Groove Pages and other tools for landing pages, automation, and CRM.

Oh -- and don't forget the Make.com automations to make sure they all talked to each other.

It was all too much, especially for a side-hustler trying to create content (like this newsletter). Messing with 47 different pieces of software was not a great use of the little bit of time I have to devote to my online business.

So when I started using GoHighLevel, I saw an opportunity:

  • Courses, email, landing pages, automations, survey forms, chatbots, social media management, websites, CRM — all in one place
  • More powerful features (some I am still discovering)
  • Lower cost (not critical but nice and really important for people that are just starting out).
  • Better integration with my whole business once fully adopted.

So when I launched the ALIGN Productivity Course, I took the plunge. Instead of sticking with Kajabi, I used the launch as an opportunity to fully commit to GoHighLevel.

Was It Easy? Nope. Worth It? Absolutely.

Let’s be real—moving platforms is a pain. Things broke. Some are still broke I'm sure. I had to rebuild automations. I’m still figuring things out. But the deeper I go, the more I realize GoHighLevel has everything I need to grow my business.

Now, is it as polished as Kajabi? No, not in some ways. Kajabi is beautiful. And GHL is definitely more complex in some ways. But it’s also infinitely more powerful and way more affordable.

I was on an old Kajabi plan for $199/month and was about to need a bigger plan. Kajabi is really stingy with websites. And I don't love their email solution. My GoHighLevel plan that does way more, all for only $97/month.

Most side hustlers I know can run their entire business on that $97 plan.

Want to See It in Action?

You can -- sort of. I built the ALIGN Productivity landing page, email sequences, and course hosting all inside GoHighLevel. You can check it out for yourself:

👉 Visit AlignProductivity.com to see how it works. Opt in, and you’ll see:

  • A cool sales page designed in a great page builder
  • A funnel underneath (you can't really "see" that - but there are cart bumps, upsells, the works.
  • A nice pop-up to capture your email
  • A full integrated email sequence (sent from GoHighLevel)
  • If you purchase - a course hosted 100% inside the platform
  • If you don't buy - an abandoned cart follow-up email (yep, automated in GHL)

And that’s just scratching the surface.

If you’re looking for a powerful, all-in-one system that actually saves you time and money, I highly recommend checking out GoHighLevel.

So… was I crazy for canceling Kajabi? Maybe. But so far, I couldn’t be happier. GHL has been really fun to learn. A super-cool tech stack that will be featured in my upcoming course (more on that later).

Here’s to leveling up,

Mark

P.S. Next up on my chopping block? SiteGround Hosting, TypeForm, Calendly and ConvertKit. I'm on an integration rampage.
